The Local Representative

The Local Representative

At your meeting, the Agency’s Local Representative will be trying to assess your suitability for live-in care work and may well prefer to visit you at home rather than at, say, a local café. If all goes well, you will be asked to fill in the Agency’s application form and show identification and other documents. You will also have to fill in a UK Criminal Record Bureau Disclosure Application Form (“CRB Disclosure Form”) for an “enhanced disclosure” for which there will be a charge, see CRB website for typical amount. Should you choose to register with another Agency at a later date, a separate CRB check will be required, so take a photocopy of your completed form to make the next application easier. The Representative may also make a charge for his/her services.

You will certainly have many questions to ask the Representative, some of which may be prompted by the topics which follow.
